Christ the King Students Understand the Power of Giving
Jacksonville, FL – Students from Christ the King Catholic School have been busy this year. The student council led the charge to have the student body raise and donate over $2,200 to charities so far this year. In September, the students donate almost $300 to children with cancer. This coincided with a field trip to Wolfson’s Children Center. Then in late January, the students raised an astounding $1,028 for Haitian relief. Finally the students donated $900 to aid the hungry with Operation Rice Bowl, an annual event to raise money for the needy. On top of a quality education, it is apparent that the children are also becoming aware of their civic responsibility and the actions of these young people prove that point.
