•Ballet and Jazz Combination Dance Class – Bravo Dance Studios is proud to introduce a combination class of Ballet and Jazz.  Their professional instructors will come to CTKS and teach children from grades K-8 the art of dance with a recital at the end of the year to show the great progress the students made.

•Hip-Hop Dance Class – Get your heart pumping with this fun offering from the folks at Bravo Dance Studios.  At Bravo, our goal is to offer quality dance education in a positive and joyful learning atmosphere, where our students can express their love of dance and improve their skills to become the best they can be.  We have a dedicated staff that shares a positive attitude and passion for dance & creative expression, promoting a genuine sense of self-esteem to our students while teaching the disciplines of dance. 

•Martial Arts – A faith based Martial Arts Training & Supply Center.  Our unique style “Tong Hop Moo Sool” (a combination of the arts) was originated by Master Pierce Owner & Senior Instructor. Our art is derived from the five styles he has studied over the past 29 years: Taekwondo, Judo, Shoryn-ryu , Shotokan and Hapkido.  He is a Certified Master Instructor and holds the rank of a 5th degree martial artist.

•Piano – First Coast School of Music is offering piano lessons on an individual basis only.  With individual lessons, we are able to directly address the student's strengths and weaknesses and help them to progress in the most effective manner. Individual lessons are $25/lesson.  These are billed directly at the beginning of the month for the number of weeks in that month as listed on the School Calendar.  As with all of our lessons, our primary goal is to "Make Learning Music Fun!"  Music is very special to us and we greatly respect the opportunity to teach this to children so that it lasts with them for a lifetime.

•Guitar – First Coast School of Music is proud to offer group guitar lessons for a maximum of 4 students at a time and is 30 minutes per lesson.  The group lessons are set up so the children are grouped according to age and learning abilities.  With small groups, the children are able to learn and progress efficiently and have the enjoyment of playing music with others.  With individual lessons, we are able to directly address the student's strengths and weaknesses and help them to progress in the most effective manner.  There will be several opportunities throughout the year for the children to perform.  Group lessons are $15/lesson and Individual lessons are $25/lesson.  These are billed directly at the beginning of the month for the number of weeks in that month as listed on the School Calendar.  As with all of our lessons, our primary goal is to "Make Learning Music Fun!"  Music is very special to us and we greatly respect the opportunity to teach this to children so that it lasts with them for a lifetime.

•Music Discovery – Specially designed for pre-kindergarten children, First Coast School of Music is proud to offer this class as an introduction to music that is tailored towards preschoolers.  These are small groups with a maximum of 4 children per 30 minute class.  With this small group, children are given the opportunity to experience different instruments, styles of Music and learn Music Theory and techniques each week.  For example, one week children may learn about Violins and classical music.  They will learn the parts of the Violin and the techniques used to perform on the violin.  They may also experience how the violin is incorporated into musical styles such as Classical, Irish or Bluegrass.  Then they may play games that teach children how to read musical rhythms and apply it to instruments.  The following week they may learn about Hand drums and musical styles such as Salsa and Meringue.  This is a great way to have your child experience music in a fun, exciting way. The classes are $15/lesson and are billed directly each month based on the number of weeks on the school calendar.

•Violin Lessons – First Coast School of Music is proud to offer both Group and Individual lessons for these.  Group lessons are for a maximum of 4 students and are 30 minutes each.  The group lessons are set up so the children are grouped according to age and learning abilities.  With small groups, the children are able to learn and progress efficiently and have the enjoyment of playing music with others.  With individual lessons, we are able to directly address the student's strengths and weaknesses and help them to progress in the most effective manner.  These are 30 minutes each also.  There will be several opportunities throughout the year for the children to perform.  Group lessons are $15/lesson and Individual lessons are $25/lesson.  These are billed directly at the beginning of the month for the number of weeks in that month as listed on the School Calendar.   Violins will be provided initially for lessons.  They may be purchased or rented from the Violin Shop which is located on the corner of Beach Blvd and Southside.  As with all of our lessons, our primary goal is to "Make Learning Music Fun!"  Music is very special to us and we greatly respect the opportunity to teach this to children so that it lasts with them for a lifetime.

•School Band – School Band is a great way for students to learn instruments, read music, and perform in a group setting.  The students will have opportunities to perform throughout the year as an ensemble.  Students may choose from a variety of instruments to perform on including Brass (trumpet, trombone, etc.), Woodwinds (clarinet, saxophone, flute, etc.) or Percussion (snare drums, bells, etc..)  We allow the student to decide which instrument they prefer to learn and play.  The cost for School Band is $40/month and is billed directly at the beginning of each month.  Musical instruments can be purchased or rented from Music stores throughout Jacksonville, such as Rhapsody Music which is located on Beach Blvd between Kernan and 9A.  School Band is available for students from Grades 3 and up.
